Dear legislators:
We are pleased to see legislation focused on understanding the impact of efforts to improve the lives of disengaged and disconnected young people.
119K To Zero, our newly formed collective of seven Connecticut nonprofits, works to directly address the issues facing 119,000 disengaged and disconnected youth in our state. Each of us has been focused on this population for many years—in some cases, over 50 years. The words disengaged and disconnected are not a fad for us but have been in our vocabulary since the 1970s.
